- Excursion to Padua and the Euganean Hills
(8 hours by minivan, groups of max 8 persons each)
Padua, known as Padova in Italian, a very ancient city founded in 1183 BC over 1500 years before Venice came into existence. It is renowned for its rich cultural heritage, prestigious university, and significant contributions to art and science, which includes such illustrious personalities as Galileo Galilei.
The Euganean Hills, or colli euganee in Italian, is a group of volcanic hills located located just south of Padua. Already famous during ancient Roman times for their thermal hot springs, the area is now a regional park, with not only lovely scenery but also historical villages such as the very charming medieval village of Arquà Petrarca, named after the poet Petrach who spent his final years there. - Excursion to Vicenza and Palladian villas
(8 hours by minivan, groups of max 8 persons each)
Vicenza is a beautiful and historic city in the Veneto region of northeastern Italy located between Verona and Padua. Known for its rich cultural heritage, stunning architecture, and association with the Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio, Vicenza is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a gem of Italian art and history. The excursion includes a private visit to a Palladian villa in the nearby countryside. - Excursion to the Dolomites
(8 hours by minivan, groups of max 8 persons each)
Arguably the most spectacular mountains in the entire European Alps, the Dolomites became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009 not only for its outstanding scenic value but also for its particular geomorphology as well as its importance as a major battleground during World War I. This will be the site of the Winter Olympics in 2026! - Excursion to Prosecco wine region
(8 hours by minivan, groups of max 8 persons each)
Just north of Venice, amidst quaint towns and ancient churches, lies the fabulous Prosecco wine region centred around the countryside of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. The lively, sparkling wine that has captured the hearts of many connoisseurs globally, has been produced in this region going back to even before Roman colonization 200 years ago! - Excursion to Bassano del Grappa
(6 hours by train, no maximum number of persons)
A little over an hour from Venice lies this charming town nestled against a backdrop of lush mountains of the Prealpi (the first chain of the Alps proper). Bassano is also where you’ll find Italy’s oldest distillery that dates back to the 18th Century and still serves customers today. Literary fans will be interested to know that Ernest Hemingway lived here when he was an ambulance driver during WW2 and his experience in the town was inspiration for his novel “A Farewell to Arms”. - Excursion to Chioggia and Po River Delta
