Catania

Guided walk of Catania. Despite living under the threat of an often-erupting Etna and frequent earthquakes, Catania has grown over the centuries to become the second largest city of Sicily. Optional seafood lunch at the central market.

Etna by helicopter

The most awe-inspiring way to see the power of Mount Etna is a helicopter tour that takes you close to the main crater, over Piano Provenzana and the entire district of Etna North. Can be combined with a hiking tour or by jeep. Helicopter tours to other sites around Eastern Sicily are also available. (N.B. Up to a maximum of 5 passengers per helicopter only.)

Cava Grande del Cassabile

A magnificent gorge that recalls the grandeur of the Grand Canyon yet sufficiently small to allow a visit on foot, this is a must-visit place for those who are into exploring wild scenery. Wildlife abound, and there are small lakes where you can dive into if you are so inclined to. Well-managed footpaths make this a relatively easy hike, but there are also more challenging paths to take as you cans ee in the picture. Appropriate attire and good walking/hiking shoes recommended. Noto

Guided visit to Noto, part of a UNESCO Heritage Site together with Ragusa, Modica, Scicli and 4 other nearby towns. Built as an entirely new settlement in a completely new location after the devastting earthquake of 1693 destroyed everything, Noto is the epitome of Baroque town planning. Spend half a day visiting this and combine this with other Baroque jewels like Ragusa, Modica and Scicli which were all built at the same time, or spend an entire day vitising this along with the ruins of the ancient town some located some 10km away, a fantastic site for lovers of both archaeology and nature.

Scicli

Guided walk through Scicli. Although less visited than the other Baroque towns that make up the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Val di Noto, Sicli is nevertheless worth some time not only for its unusual siting, but also for being one of the the set location for the filming of the international television series Inspector Montalbano!

Naxos fishing experience

Fishing with a local fisherman along the nearby coast, where with his help you can catch small and medium-sized fish such as bream, bass, garpike. Ancient Greek ruins of Colonne di San Basilio

Taking its present name only from the hill upon which it stands, these mysterious ruins of an abandoned ancient Greek settlement with an imposing series of columns stand today with no documentation whatsoever found thus far. This is one place where you can pretend to be Indiana Jones discovering a long-lost ruin, and combine that with an exhilarating walk around the hill. Appropriate walking shoes recommended.
